Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

My journey started with renting a car at Enterprise. The car was rented under Khairul's name. In the first place, we planned to rent the car under my name and Khairul. But since I don't have UK valid licence, I can't put my name aside with Khairul. So for this time, Khairul has to drive alone from Plymouth-Scotland-Ireland-Wales-UK-Plymouth.

Sewaan kereta di UK memerlukan 2 jenis lesen. 1) Lesen Antarabangsa yang sah dan 2) Lesen memandu UK. Oleh kerana aku tiada lesen yang antarabangsa, Khairul termaksa memandu sehingga ke Edinburgh.

Around 11.00, we drove the car (actually Khairul drove the car alone, I just watching and be second driver (map reader) and we are expecting to arrive at Ridzuan's house around 10.00 pm. Called him and told him that we are expecting to arrive around that time.

We stopped by at Manchester, UK around 4pm. Continued back the journey and because of Manchester we arrived Edinburgh late around 11.00pm.

Tidak banyak yang dilakukan di Stadium Old Traffod, Manchester. Permandangan dari luar berbeza dari permandangan yang biasa di lihat di TV. Nampak seperti gah dalama TV, tetapi apabila sampai di stadium tersebut. Ianya nampak biasa. Untuk pengetahuan, jarak antara Plymouth dan Edinburgh adalah sejauh 487 batu atau mengambil masa lebih kurang 9 jam. Disebabkan persinggahan yang tidak dijangka perjalanan yang diambil lebih kurang 10 jam. Seperkara yang menarik disepanjang perjalanan, permandangan disekitar amat menarik. Syukur kerana tiada apa yang berlaku sepanjang perjalanan. Secara ringkasnya boleh aku katakan disini perjalanan menuju ke Edinburgh melalui jalan raya dan lebuhraya seperti A328, M5, M6, M74 dan M8.

So that night, we did nothing, just slept at Ridzuan's house and the real journal starts tomorrow. Plan to stay at Ridzuan's house for a couple of nights. Anyway, thank you for the hospitalities.

We went around Edinburgh City from morning 9.00 am until 12.00 pm. After that, around 1.00 pm, drove straight to Glasgow, Scotland. Had a lunch with Nizam. Then after that went straight to Loch Lamond. Around 9.00 went back to Ridzuan's house and slept until morning.

Tiba di rumah Nizam lebih kurang jam 2.30 ptg. Walaupun pada awalnya berjanji lebih kurang jam 2.00 ptg. Lewat 30 minit. Permandangan di Glasgow tak banyak yang boleh diceritakan kerana aku tak lama di Glasgow.Terus pergi ke Loch Lamond di bahagian atas Glasgow. Perjalanan dari rumah Nizam ke Loch Lamond mengambil masa lebih kurang 45 minit sahaja.

Perkara baru yang aku tahu di sini adalah perkataan 'loch' itu sebenarnya sama erti dengan tasik. Nama ini khas digunakan di Scotland sahaja.Semua ketahui bahawa ada cerita berkaitan dengan Raksasa Loch Ness. Mula nya dulu aku ingat nama tu adalah nama raksasa tersebut. Baru aku tahu sebenarnya Raksasa Loch Ness sebenarnya merujuk kepada Raksasa di tasik yang bernama Ness.

Went around Edinburgh for the second time. Visited some places, parks and museums around Edinburgh. Bought a one day pass for Edinburgh City. [Click here to have the detail]

Harga pass tersebut dalam lebih kurang £24. Pass ini sangat penting. Menggunakan pass ini, banyak muzium dan lokasi menarik kita boleh masuk dengan percuma. Maknanya, banyak sekali dan masuk banyak tempat secara percuma. Kalau rasa nak luangkan masa lama di Edinburgh. Pembelian sebegini tidak merugikan.

As usual, this page shows some pictures taken at Edinburgh and Manchester. For 3 days we at Edinburgh, I can conclude that Edinburgh is a small city, nice and the most important thing is 'haunted'. People here used to called Edinburgh as a 'haunted' city. I not so sure why people can that name for Edinburgh city. For me, the city is just a city. Nothing more nothing less. The most impress thing happen here:
1. We got summon from the City Council (just because of 14 minutes late)
2. The place so nice although the city is small
3. The tourist guide here can tell you 1001 stories. From witchery, witchcraft and 'ghost'.
